Paris Hotels

Choosing the right hotel in Paris can be difficult. Paris is on of Europe's largest and most cosmopolitan cities, and as such, it is one of the most visited (and expensive) cities in the world.

There are lots of great places to see and lots of great things to do. It can be hard to fit it all in, especially during a Paris city break or weekend break. A good hotel from which to explore and enjoy the city is an important part of any visit to Paris.

Where to Stay in Paris

Remember: Paris is divided up into numbered districts or areas, called "arrondissement" (Arr. for short, as with the list below). Choose the district of Paris that suits your needs best. However, some of the more obvious areas for tourists to stay, such as Champs Elysees, Eiffel Tower, near the Notre Dame or Sacre Coeur cathedrals, may prove to be a bit more expensive, or offer less value for money.

Finding the Right Hotel in Paris

If you still don't know where to start, consider which tourist attraction is most important for you - the Louvre? Eiffel Tower? Sacre Couer and the old artist area of Montmartre? The Champs Elysee is often considered to be a great destination for tourists, but can be busy and expensive.

Paris Hotel Tips

Check the hotels in the Marais area. Le Marias is central, yet quieter than many of the more well known tourist areas. You can still walk to Notre Dames and the Louvre - you can even walk there along the river! Le Marias has some great streets to explore, such as the Place des Vosges, and of course 100s of cafes and restaurants. It is also home to some of the prettiest, small hotels.
