About Eurodisney

Whether you're young or old, everyone wants to go and see Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Pluto, and their friends at one of the Disney parks. If you’re a parent, you'll probably think of it as an essential place to take your under-tens. However, America is pretty far away, and holidays to the US can be both expensive and exhausting. Luckily, Disney figured this out in the early-nineties, and decided to build Disneyland Paris, the European resort. Since then, it's received millions of grateful customers, and is now one of Europe's primary tourist spots. So why not pack up and take the family for a long weekend of fun and frolics with Mickey and the gang?

Eurodisney is just south of Paris, in the town of Marne-la-Valle. It's very easy to get there by Eurostar, and the trains travel direct to Eurodisney from London St Pancras. Many travel operators and internet sites will offer package deals, but the best places to book are:

As the owners of the resort itself, Disneyland will have the fullest choice of deals, breaks and holidays available to book for Eurodisney. Disneyland often have loads of great deals, like staying 1 night extra free, or kids go free, or extra savings by booking online.

When it comes to accommodation during your stay, you'll be spoiled for choice. You may decide to stay in the centre of Paris itself, and travel down to the park each day. Or, for the kid in you, try staying in the resort itself. The park has over 5000 Disney-owned rooms in numerous hotels, some of which are themed! If you're travelling with the kids, the latter might be the option for you. Staying in the park will give them quick and easy access to all it has to offer. It will all be there on your hotel doorstep, rather than having to leave to catch a train back to Paris in the evening.

And it's easy to get around when you're there: the park has a free shuttle bus service between the hotels and the different areas of the resort. If you decide to stay in one of their hotels, you'll be given an identity card, which will give you access to many additional features of the park, including the car parks, Discos, and fitness clubs to name a few. Apart from the park itself, the resort is home to a complex called Downtown Disney, which is rich in many forms of entertainment, shopping areas, and an abundance of restaurants. This is open after the park closes, so you'll never be short of something to do. Disneyland itself is split into sections. You may need more than a weekend for the kids to discover all it has to offer! The obvious starting point is the Main Street USA, where you'll find the famous characters. Don't forget your autograph book! Adventureland does what it says on the tin, focusing on swashbuckling escapades. Frontierland is all about the Wild West, and is home to one of the most famous rides: Big Thunder Mountain. Discoveryland is futuristic, especially good for the scientists among you. And lastly is Fantasyland, full of fairytales and dreams, where little girls become princesses and magic comes to life. So surprise the kids and give them a holiday to remember: visit Mickey and friends in Eurodisney!
